Employment & Workplace Relations Lawyer (3-5 Years PAE+)

We seek an experienced Employment & Workplace Relations Lawyer (3-5 Years PAE +) to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer looking to build a long-term career in a respected specialist practice while working directly with experienced practitioners and a sophisticated employer client base.
About the role
You will work on a diverse range of employment and industrial relations matters, including:
- Unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims
- Enterprise bargaining and industrial relations strategy
- Restraint of trade and post-employment disputes
- Advising employers on compliance obligations and workforce management issues
- Advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other relevant tribunals
- Workplace investigations and disciplinary processes
- Workplace health and safety advice and regulatory matters
- Employment contracts, executive agreements and workplace policies
- Client relationship management and business development activities
You will have genuine client contact, responsibility for running files, and the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the practice.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years' post-admission experience in employment, industrial relations, workplace health and safety, or a related practice area
- Strong technical legal skills and commercial judgment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing matters with an appropriate level of autonomy
- Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy capabilities
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative and professional approach to client service
- A current Queensland practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one)
